Contemporary Hungarian Organ Anthology No. 1 & No. 2

I am delighted to announce that, within the framework of the Scholarship Programme of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, the two-volume Contemporary Hungarian Organ Anthology has been completed and is now available for listening by clicking on the images below.

The first volume was recorded in September 2023 at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua (Bosnyák Square, Budapest), while the second volume was recorded in June 2025 at the Capuchin Church of the Visitation in Budapest.

Alongside three of my own organ works, the recordings feature compositions by Ákos Zarándy, Georgi Sztojanov, Árpád Kákonyi, Árpád Barabás, Rezső Ott, Dávid Magda, and János Vajda.

“With the support of a previous scholarship from the Hungarian Academy of Arts, I composed my organ work Madaradante.
The aim of my current project is twofold: to encourage contemporary composers to create new organ works and to present them, as well as to realize two large-scale compositions. The first is a St. John Passion for soloists, choir, and period instrumental ensemble; the second is a chamber piece for electronically amplified instruments, combining the traditions of classical chamber music with elements of progressive rock.”
